Be reminded of the uniform policy as the cold weather moves in! 

OVERDRESS FOR COLD WEATHER DAYS- JMS will ONLY allow outerwear that was sold by the PTO or outerwear that is SOLID Navy, Black, or White in color.  SPORTS JACKETS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED if you participate in the sport, for which the jacket represents.  A school uniform shirt must be worn under all outerwear. Any outerwear with a hood is prohibited.

Over the past several weeks, we have experienced a high volume of students who are not wearing a belt.  Please make sure that your child is in full compliance with the dress code each morning.

Please send a written notice if your child will have a different method of transportation than usual.  We are looking out for the best interest of the students at JMS and that requires a written note from you, the guardian, or the changes will not take place. Mr. Etheredge will not allow a change of transportation without a written note from the parent. This gives both the school and the parent documentation of the change of transportation.

The end of the 1st nine weeks has come to an end.  Please be sure to keep up to date with your child's progress to ensure they do not fall behind. You have a right to meet with your child's teachers. Parent/ teacher conferences are scheduled every Wednesday at 3:00 in the media center. Contact the JMS office to schedule a conference (251-246-3597).

Please assist us in a smooth dismissal by trying to avoid checking your child out of school after 2:00 pm. Parents attempt to check children out at the last minute to avoid waiting in the car rider line and this creates numerous problems during the dismissal procedures. ( We do understand that this sometimes can not be avoided)
